Snowmobile Drag Racing on Hungry Jack Lake & D’Merritt in the Logger’s Lounge
Cool Crisp Morning Today!
2 riders heading out to hit the trails early. It is a bit chilly out this morning. I had -14 here a little while ago. The sun is out and it looks like it is going to be a beautiful day. We did have some snow showers yesterday and we did end up getting about an inch or so of fluff. It isn’t much but every little bit counts. Snow levels haven’t changed much other than the dusting we got last night. The groomers have been out this week and are doing the best they can with what they have … [Read more...]
Snow Report – 2/08/12
Well things have definitely cooled off after the warm weather we were having last week and weekend. The snow is still hanging in there. We have had riders through every day this week and overall reports of the trails are still pretty good considering the conditions. The groomers have been out grooming trying to get things back into shape after all of the warm weather and traffic last weekend. We could definitely use more snow but things are still very ride able. There are still a few sections that are bumpy but overall things are really shaping up. We have some light snow forecasted for the next couple of days but it does not sound like anything … [Read more...]

We have the snow!!!!!!!!
Lately we have had a lot of snowmobilers and fisherman come in and saying that they are pleasantly surprized at the amount of snow that we do have. I guess some people just look outside their door and assume that if they still don't have snow there must not be enough anywhere, well I would like to put a halt to these preconceived notions. We do have snow, admittedly it is not near our average, but we have enough to go … [Read more...]
Winter is winning!
Winter is finally winning the battle for the northland this year. All over the state people have been seeing warm temperatures and minimal snowfall, lucky for us other than a couple unseasonably warm days we have stayed at or below freezing (expecting some below zero highs in the near future), In other words; what has come down has stuck around. We have over a foot of snow on the ground, the snowmobile trails have … [Read more...]
