Conditions are the best they have been all year. We received about 2” of new snow yesterday morning and we had another dusting this morning. The groomers have been out. The Gunflint, Expressway, Clearwater Spur, and Hungry Jack Spur have been groomed within the last day. I have a few sledders in right now that said the trails overall are in pretty decent shape. Current snow levels are around 18”+ in the mid trail area. I have attached a pic of the groomer as it was going by the lodge about … [Read more...]

Happy New Year, We have had snowmobilers through over the weekend and some yesterday. Grand Marais MN & Gunflint Trail Snowmobile Trail Report1/29/08 --- Well we have not had much new snow in the last week. We have received a couple of light dustings maybe an inch or 2 here and there. The snowmobile trails are in absolutely great shape the best I have seen for some time. I put on about 120 miles last Sunday and all of the trails I rode on were groomed perfect.
