The main lodge at Hungry Jack

Dining, banquets, "logger's Lounge" and recreation room
Our main
lodge has two levels overlooking Hungry Jack Lake, each with a stone
fireplace. The dining room, bar, and game room within capture the
feeling of the northwoods with a collection of wild game mounts, hand carved
furniture and relics reflecting the history of the region.
our main lodge is a high speed internet
wireless "hotspot"
The
upper level of our Lodge is comprised of our Fireside Dining Room, glass walled
Dining Porch, a sitting and reading area and our business office.
Upon entering the upper level of Hungry Jack Lodge your eyes will not
know what to focus on first. It would take pages to describe all of the big game
heads, antiques and other unique items that will fight for your attention.
The
most prominent features of the dining level of our Lodge are the large stone
fireplace and exceptionally long family dining table.
The picturesque view of Hungry Jack Lake from our dining porch and the
warm coziness of our dining room are there for your enjoyment and relaxation.
In the Fireside Dining Room you will find the
finest home cooking' served family style.
Though the majority of
people want to "escape the rat race" and get away from it all, we
realize that people may have a reason that they must have access
to the Internet for business or other important reasons while they are
vacationing at Hungry Jack Lodge and Campground. For that reason
in 2005 we made the main lodge of our resort is a wireless high speed
Internet "hotspot".
The
evening is when the lower level of our Lodge really comes to life.
The Loggers Lounge and Game Room on the lower floor provides a place to
gather for the latest fish tales and your favorite beverages. Snacks, candy and pizza are also available at the hand carved
log bar or in our Game Room. In the Game Room you can try your hand at
pool, play cards, play the nickelodeon, listen to the "Ballad of Hungry
Jack" -- Written and recorded here -- or strike up your own tunes on our
upright piano. Tired from a long
active day? Relax on a sofa in
front of the Game Room's stone fireplace and become hypnotized by the dancing
flames. Or, sit outside the
Logger's Lounge on its' spacious deck and look at the stars.
On a clear night and you'll see more stars than you've probably ever seen
before. Perhaps you'll even get a
glimpse of the "northern lights".
Outside
the main Lodge on the lower level you will find a large lawn, which has a play
area with swings, horseshoes and sandbox. Our
sand swimming beach with raft, kids fishing dock, and sauna are also located
here. In addition, there are
benches and a lounge swing, near waters edge, for those who just want to sit,
relax and soak in the beauty of Hungry Jack Lake.
