Hungry Jack Lodge & Campground has been one of Minnesota's best family vacations destinations since 1924

Hungry Jack Lodge is off the Gunflint Trail, adjacent to the BWCA(W) and is the only resort on Hungry Jack Lake in the heart of the six million acre Superior National Forest.  Hungry jack Lake is considered one of the best Minnesota walleye fishing hotspots and is sheltered with high wooded hills and palisades around its 8 1/2 miles of shoreline.  Activities include superb fishing, canoeing, hiking, camping and much much more.  Access to the Boundary Water Canoe Area (BWCA) can be made by canoe directly from Hungry Jack Lake with only one very short portage.

Our Year round resort is isolated at the end of a dead end road offering the vacationer the ultimate in peace and serenity.  The surroundings are astoundingly alive and pure.  You can smell the clean air, hear the solitude, and taste the flavor of the wilderness.

The journey to the lodge is one of the most beautiful drives in the country.  The scenic route includes traveling from the North Shores of Lake Superior at Grand Marais up the Gunflint Trail, into the Sawtooth Mountains to the woods surrounding the Gunflint Trail and Hungry Jack Lodge & Campground.

"Hi guys!! Just wanted to say thank you for the great time at Hungry Jack!  Your staff is awesome!! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality, we had a lot of fun!! We definitely are going to try to come back next year!!!!!!! We can't stop thinking about what an awesome time we had! Thanks again."
Sarah and Thomas (BWCA drop outs) Maple Lake, Minnesota

Hungry Jack Lodge is located on Hungry Jack Lake 2 1/2 miles off Gunflint Trail, 32 miles northwest of Grand Marais.  We are just two miles from the Canadian border and less than one mile from the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, making Hungry Jack Lodge and Campground an ideal "base" for day trips into the BWCA for those who want to experience the the Boundary Waters but do not want to give up the convenience and comfort of a northwoods resort.

Hungry Jack Lodge and Campground is owned and operated by Forrest Parson.
